Hey team! I'm Allegra, or Allie if you prefer. I'm 18 years old, a high school graduate, from Louisville, KY. I just got home 2 days ago from another Passport trip to Kenya. The trip was amazing, and I'm so pumped to be going to Nicaragua this spring! I'm taking a full gap year before starting college at Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) next fall. College will be cool, but nothing like missions! AIM trips are amazing, and I'm already ready to go even though I just got home!

Me with Wamboi, my little friend at the IDP camp in Kenya

So, a bit about me. I grew up Catholic, but switched to a non-denominational Christian chuch two and a half years ago. That's when I really started my faith journey, and I'm so blessed to be able to go to such an amazing church! I have two parents and three sisters: Megan (20), Marina (15 almost 16), Liana (13). Family is very important to me. I love my parents and my sisters are my best friends! You'll probably hear me talk about them a lot this trip...

I love soccer and have played since I was 5 years old. I'll be bringing the soccer balls! Among my other loves are reading, writing, watersports, snow skiing, climbing trees, Disney movies, puzzles and word games. I love goofing off, having a good laugh, and doing crazy things. I love adventure and missions, so AIM is basically perfect for me!

Well, I'll see you all in less than a month! I'll be reviewing my Spanish skills in that time. (I took it in high school, but I'm far from fluent). Anyone speak Spanish? Hey, just a heads up: No need to be shy at training camp! We'll all be best friends anyways and laugh about the awkwardness at first later. Trust me, I know. And my last team only had 2 guys too. And 11 women. Our guys survived, so I'm not too worried for Josh and Ryan. I can't wait to meet you all!ย
